Hey there and Welcome to 17Machine Studios.

This started as a name that I thought was kinda neat when I was in college.  I spent a lot of time traveling between Richmond and Newport News and saw an old machine shop with a really weathered sign. It had once said rt17 machine shop but had so much wear and tear that it just read “17machine”.

  • Vince Riley is the artist. I’m a video game artist by day, and do this little comic book and other doodles by night.
  • Chuck Paschall is the writer. A beverage service manager by day, and a writer the rest of the time. Born in Germany, raised in Yorktown, VA , and filled with spite in Richmond, VA since 1993. Chuck is the writer for Native Drums and a few secret 17machine projects.

As for the comic…. Native Drums is my first comic book. Issues #1 and #2 are done, and #3 is on the way. I also try and do an art book every year of just random junk that I drew.

With a little luck and some effort I’ll be posting the new issues of Native Drums as I go, and also other books and strips as they arise.
